A creative way to self-embrace

Hey creative stars!

In today’s post, I want to share with you a creative way to remind yourself how amazing you are.

There are times that life can drag us through the mud, and leave us feeling unable and unfulfilled.

Trust me I know how hard life can get. I’ve had several tough weeks that have left me feeling empty, and questioning my awesomeness.

For that reason, I mail myself a letter once a month. In that letter I remind myself of everything I have overcome that I thought I wouldn’t.

Usually, I receive that letter in the mail when I need it the most, or leave it on my dresser for those tough days ahead.

However, I know that life can be hard for everyone. There is a quote by Plato:”Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle”.

Therefore, my friends and I send quotes to one another to uplift us. I want to share a beautiful reminder I got in the mail yesterday from a pal.

I hope the reminder uplifts you as well.

  1. I think that is a great idea to mail yourself a letter of encouragement. I keep a ‘feel good’ folder of notes I have gotten through the years and when I feel bad I go read them. We all have tough days and we all need a reminder, now and then, of how great we are.

  2. I love this post! So sweet! I sometimes write on my mirror in dry erase markers so I see it when I get up. I haven’t done it a while. I definitely need the encouragement. Thanks for sharing such a sweet post. 🙂

  3. I love this idea 🙂 I do a similar thing and I call it “Self-care Sundays.” What it is is I dedicate a full day dating myself. No matter how simple it may be–a home spa, a nice lunch out, etc 🙂

    Thanks for sharing positivity!

  4. What a great idea. I love this idea about sending encouraging quotes to your friends. I love the letter thing too. Lately I have been in a rut and it’s been very hard for me to overcome it.

  5. I love this post. I should try to do something similar. There are days when I just feel blah and an uplifting note or a few kind words can really make a difference. I’ll let my sisters and cousins know about this. Maybe we can start our own circle of “encouragement”

  6. Beautiful quote. We often forget about ourselves when we’re busy focusing on making others happy or meeting expectations. We should never let ourselves feel neglected or unwanted because then we’ll feel like we don’t matter. This is a great reminder for that!

  7. This is interesting. I never thought about sending a letter to myself or even take the time to encourage myself when I’m down. I usually just wait it out and move on.
